I'm going to start of saying that I feel a little disappointed today. As everyone knows, yesterday was Thanksgiving, and for not having any immediate family to visit/have visit, it was a good day. I made some good food, and the family had fun together.
What makes me sad is that I don't want to eat any of my leftovers! I brined a turkey for yesterday, and I thought it turned out well. And we made stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, and pie. It tasted OK yesterday, and Ian complemented me on the stuffing and rolls (he made the casserole and gravy). But I don't like any of it today. Grrr. I was so looking forward to leftovers, and none of it sounds appetizing. Not even the Chocolate Pie!
So now I am wondering whether my cooking skills are less than I thought, or if my pregnancy hormones are messing with my taste buds now.

The chocolate pie freezes well. And so does turkey! Save it for when you do want it! And I am so sorry that it doesn't sound good now. That's rotten.
That stinks!! Sorry!!
Poor Baby. Some of our trials just aren't much fun. Maybe it helps to weigh the blessings vs. the trials. Celebrate the great cooking of Thanksgiving and the beautiful new life within. Focus and be grateful for what's good... and as Rebecca says, freeze the rest! It doesn't change the events... it just makes the burdens lighter. I love you!
I'm gonna blame it all on pregnancy! I keep asking myself how I'm going to avoid becoming a blimp when chocolate is the only thing that never makes me queasy! Miranda
