Good books to read

I just recently finished a series of books that I really enjoyed. It is the Avatar series by Tui Sutherland. They were really good. Part of me wants to tell you all about the series, but when I read it the first time, I enjoyed having the story open up before me without having a clue as to what was going to happen next.

Without revealing too much I can tell you that I loved the writing style. Each of her characters were distinct and different. Throughout the books, she would change points of view, and you could tell which character's eyes you were looking through by their thoughts and analogies and such. The story line was interesting and made me want to look up information to try and solve some of the riddles presented by the story. I was concerned that I might not be pleased with how all the conflicts were resolved, but Ms. Sutherland was able to pull it off.

I actually started reading this series over a year ago. A friend introduced me to the first two books in the series, but the third one hadn't been published then. I enjoyed the books so much that I kept track of how much time had passed so that I would remember to ask for the book at the library after a year had gone by. (I correctly assumed the third book would be published after a year. Yay!)

The three books in the series are "So this is how it ends", "Shadow Falling", and "Kingdom of Twilight". There is a website by the author that you can go to if you want to see a tiny bit more about her and her books. It is: http://www.tuibooks.com. Even her website is funny. I think you might enjoy it as well.

If you read the books, I would love to talk to you about them and see if you liked them.
