April Showers

I've heard the saying "April showers bring May flowers", but I always thought that referred to rain.  Here in Utah, it seems to refer to snow showers.  We seem to have had a lot of snow this month.  Here are some pictures of the snow throughout the month.

Here is some snow from General Conference weekend (Sunday April 3rd to be exact).  It was a heavy wet snow.

And here is the car.

April 10th we drove up to Portland, and this is the sort of weather we drove through as we left Utah.  It was a dreary snowy day, with a little bit of snow sticking to the ground.

Yesterday evening,  I looked out the window and saw snow flurries going on.  I hurried outside to take pictures of the snow and flowers, because I thought that would be the end of the snow.

But in the morning, I looked out the window and what did I see?  It wasn't popcorn popping on my apricot tree, but snow!
Poor apricot tree!
It was also on the car...
I thought I was done brushing snow off the car!
 And on the flowers...
Though it does make for a lovely picture.
So that has been my April.  It has been a lovely month-- not all of it has been snowy.  I'm not really complaining about the snow, just shocked that it is still falling this late in the season.  The kids have loved playing in all the weather, and if I have the energy tomorrow, I will post some pictures of the little ones.
